MCI is a public airport being located a 20-minute drive from Downtown Kansas City in Platte County, Missouri. The official airport code is MCI, but Kansas City International Airport is more commonly referred to as “KCI“. It was built by the City of Kansas City, Missouri and opened in 1972.
The airport has three runways, which makes it a low-delay airport and has long been one of the most attractive commercial airports in the world. MCI offers travellers both long term and short term parking.
KCI Airport provides several parking options such as Economy, Garage, Circle parking (no longer running from mid May 2022) and Valet Parking. Long term parking options are located just a short shuttle ride from the terminal buildings, while the short term parking lot is located directly across from the terminals.
Economy Parking A, B and C have free 24-hour parking with shuttle service. Daily rates start from $7.50. There are also electric vehicle charging stations in Economy Parking B and C.
Garage parking is available in lot B and C and is open 24 hours a day. Long term parking rates for this option start from $23, valet parking from $27.00. The valet parking lots can be found in the circle of Terminal B, near Gate 40.
For travelers, off-site parking is more comfortable because prices are much cheaper, starting at $4.99 per day and there is a free shuttle service to the airport.
Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, finding reliable and affordable parking near the airport can often be a challenge.
MCI Long term parking rates start at $7.50 and go up to $27 a day for valet parking. But in most cases the Economy parking is overcrowded. You should think about parking well in advance and sometimes you may find that only Terminal A of the three Economy terminals is open.
The Circle park that is on the website does not work at all, in May an additional terminal is under construction in its place.
Parkobility offers long term parking rates at off-site lots starting from $3.49. Not all lots offer a free shuttle service due to covid-19, but might go back to offering them again. Make sure to read all information of each parking facility beforehand.

MCI Short Term Parking is available for those who need to park their vehicles close to the airport. KCI airport offers both valet and short term parking options, as well as a Cell Phone Waiting Lot.
By registering, you can get a coupon for one day free of charge. Otherwise short term parking is available in the Garage Lot B & C. For the first 30 minutes it is $1.00, from 1 to 7 hours it will be $3.00 per hour.
