Raleigh-Durham International Airport is the main airport in North Carolina with the airport code RDU. The airport lies between the two cities Raleigh and Durham and is not too far away from either one. Travel time by car is not more than 20 minutes to Downtown of both cities. RDU has two terminals:
Official parking by the airport is processed with a new “contactless” system. Guests can book parking online and pay without interacting with a cashier. But you have to book your parking at least 24 hours in advance using RDU’s online booking system. At the end of your stay, your credit card will be automatically charged for the amount of time you parked.

RDU airport parking offers the opportunity to park your car in long term as well as short term parking. Daily long term rates start from $11 for economy lots to $25 per day if you use Premier parking.
If you’re looking for cheap parking near Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), your best bet is to book an off-site parking lot that costs less than $5.75 a day.

RDU Airport offers two short term parking options: Daily and Hourly. Both garages are conveniently located near the terminal and offer easy access to the airport.
Daily parking starts at $1 per hour for Economy, and up to $5 per hour for Express Parking. Hourly parking starts at $2 per hour and is available for stays of up to 24 hours. RDU offers a variety of other parking options, including long term parking and valet service.

Payment for RDU parking is possible by either cash, credit or debit card.
Terminal 2 is served by numerous airlines including Delta, Alaska, Allegiant, Air Canada, American Airlines, Frontier, JetBlue, Spirit, and United Airlines. Terminal 1 serves only Soutwest Airlines.

Although the terminals are open around the clock, passengers must remain in the public area after the security checkpoints close. Where to rest: There are recliners next to the security control and padded benches with no armrests, but they are scarce.
